SoHonda Garage.

A few weeks ago SHG announced the launch of the SoHonda Garage website! In celebration co-founder Evan Consolazio held the official release party at his house in Massachusetts. Phil, Riley (our friend and fellow SHG member) and myself packed up our bags and headed up for the weekend. The weekend was full of good times as usual, seeing familiar faces and meeting some new ones as well. The cool thing about SoHonda Garage is it really is just a group of friends who share the same passion for cars. To make a long story short, it all started back in 2006 with Evan and his cousin Nick wrenching on their hatchbacks in the garage late one night. They were discussing how even though both cars had many different features (one being a EK chassis and the other an EG) they carried the same lines. A look that could only be described as well… SoHonda. As time went by the rest of us found a way into the group. It’s hard to say what we like most about their cars. Is it the simplicity? The high revving naturally aspirated motors? Or maybe it’s the reliability. A Honda just feels like home to us and that is something you either understand or you don’t.

SoHonda Garage has taken thing to a whole new level with their website, which is the home to tons of pictures, how-to write ups, the latest in Honda news, member info, and even an “ask” section. The online store will be your go to place for SHG products. Available now are K-Series Rocker Covers, Decals, and K-Series dipstick tensioners. Future products include t-shirts and possibly a shift lever. Our goal is to provide proven-functional products that represent the tasteful simplicity Honda has already supplied their automobiles.

In addition to all this, SHG has something else pretty huge in the works. A purpose built racecar. The donor car is none other then a 2002 Acura Integra Type-S that will compete in SCCA Improved Touring R class/SCCA PRO IT series. We got to take a peek at the car during our trip to Flatout Motorsports where the car is currently being fitted with a cage and replaced with a Canadian roof that deletes the moon roof. The car will be backed by Buddy Club, JMC Fab, Allthingsproper, and of course SoHonda Garage. Keep an eye out for more SoHonda Garage products and personal car builds. For more info check out their website and the race car build on Honda-tech.com.
